An early, rustic Neutra home in the  Hollywood hills - this was set in a challenging slope with a vertiginous shared driveway. The mature gardens were decaying and spent, except for a magnificent western sycamore.  We approached the project as a re-freshen with a greener palette, some drought tolerance, and light breezy open canopied specimens out front. The backyard  footprint was firmly laid out in old hardscape which the owner wished to keep, so we simply edited existing and enhanced the shadey glades climbing up the terraces.
