A pretty project for an exceptional musical soul. Directive was to keep landscape rustic, natural, and semi un-groomed. A soft-scented pathway for barefoot meandering leads upward to a discreet gathering spot. The slope terraces were filled with baby california natives plus some robust Mediterranean favorites and local cultivars. Citrus, working off catch water, were planted and we crammed the top terrace with recycled cacti and ground covers. A hut sauna & tub were nestled within a raised planting patch full of wildflowers, herbs, and fruits, bringing in some seasonal harvest vibes. The bottom terrace was laid with decomposed granite and plug-plantings directly into the rock face to bring dimension.
