A prestigious creative hub situated in a robust neo-brutalist structure needed attention to offset the hard dimensions, angles and reflections on the face and rear of building. We chose some of the grand Kyoto gardens as our planting inspirations to offer poetic responses to the imposing building and also, to pay homage to the local historical Japanese neighborhood, with its abundance of beautiful maintained front gardens.
